SLEDDING BEHIND THE CAR

It's been so cold that the snow that has fallen, which is a lot, is still sitting all over the ground and streets.

My dad used to hook a sled to the back of the trusty station wagon and pull us up and down the lane after a good storm.  As we got older we'd hold onto the rope while wearing ski's.  I believe there were even jumps created on the side of the road for additional entertainment.

The roads in our neighborhood are completely snow packed still.  I told the kids what we were going to attempt, we got on our snow gear and went to the garage.  I forgot that James had taken the Tahoe to work that day.  When a plan is in place, you must do whatever it takes to carry it out.  I backed the Mercedes out of the garage, Taylor tied the rope and sled onto the car and we were off.  The neighbor kids lined up for a ride too.  We were quite the site.  Fun times!
